  Thegood-naturedfellowhadfoundMrs。Sedleyonlytoowillingtoreceivehim,andgreatlyagitatedbythearrivalofthepiano,which,assheconjectured,MUSThavecomefromGeorge,andwasasignalofamityonhispart。CaptainDobbindidnotcorrectthiserroroftheworthylady,butlistenedtoallherstoryofcomplaintsandmisfortuneswithgreatsympathy——condoledwithherlossesandprivations,andagreedinreprehendingthecruelconductofMr。Osbornetowardshisfirstbenefactor。

  TherewasabuxomIrishservant-girl,whoperformedallthedutiesofthelittlehousewheretheSedleyfamilyhadfoundrefuge:andthisgirlhadinvain,onmanypreviousdays,striventogiveAmeliaaidorconsolation。
