  Inthemorningsheseemedmuchengagedwithbusiness,and,intheafternoon,gentlemenfromMillcoteortheneighbourhoodcalled,andsometimesstayedtodinewithhim。Whenhissprainwaswellenoughtoadmitofhorseexercise,herodeoutagooddeal;probablytoreturnthesevisits,ashegenerallydidnotcomebacktilllateatnight。
