Burnshadmorepith，vigour，variety，andpassion，thanJasminwhowasmoreofadescriptivewriter。InsomerespectsJasminresembledAllanRamsay，abarberandperiwig-maker，likehimself，whoseGentleShepherdmetwithasgreatasuccessasJasmin’sFranconnette。Jasmin，however，wasthegreaterpoetofthetwo。
