  NorwashelesssurprisedtoseeRichardsurroundedbysomanysilvanattendants,theoutlaws,astheyseemedtobe,oftheforest,andaperilousretinuethereforeforaprince。HehesitatedwhethertoaddresstheKingastheBlackKnight-errant,orinwhatothermannertodemeanhimselftowardshim。

  Richardsawhisembarrassment。

  ``Fearnot,Wilfred,’’hesaid,``toaddressRichardPlantagenetashimself,sincethouseesthiminthecompanyoftrueEnglishhearts,althoughitmaybetheyhavebeenurgedafewstepsasidebywarmEnglishblood。’’
