IimmediatelysentforAllorron，whohadnowbecomeafaithfulsheikofthegovernment。Heconfessedallhissins，andofcourselaidthewholeblameuponAbouSaood，whohedeclaredhaddeceivedhim，andinstigatedhimagainstthegovernment。IdidnotwishforanyexplanationsuponthetruthofwhichIcouldnotrely。IthereforeorderedhimtogoatoncetoBelinian，andinformthenativesthat，unlesstheygaveupthedeserters，Ishouldpaythemavisitwiththe”redshirts，”whohadnowreturnedwithmefromFatiko。AtthesametimeIpromisedhimthreecowsifhesucceeded。
Inafewdayshereturnedwithtwodeserters。Thesemenweretriedbycourt-martial，andhavingbeenfoundguilty，theywereshotinthepresenceoftheregiment。
