  Oneconclusionmay,atleast,berestedin:aman’struesuccessmustnotbeestimatedbythingsdone,whichhadtheirpriceintheworld;butbythatwhichtheworld’scoarsethumbandfingerfailedtoplumb;byhisimmatureinstinctsandunsurepurposeswhichweighednotashisworkintheworld’sestimation,yetwenttowardmakingupthemainamountofhisrealworth;

  bythoughtswhichcouldnotbecontainedinnarrowacts,byfancieswhichwouldnotsubmittothebondsoflanguage;

  byallthathestrivedafterandcouldnotattain,byallthatwasignoredbymenwithonlyfiniteandrealizableaims:suchareGod’sstandardsofhisworth。

  Allthetrueacquisitionsofthesoul,allthereflectedresultsofitsenergizingaftertheunattainableinthislife,allthathastrulyBEEN,belongtotheabsolute,andarepermanentamidallearth’schanges。Itis,indeed,throughthesechanges,throughthedanceofplasticcircumstance,thatthepermanentissecured。Theyarethemachinery,theDivinePotter’swheel,whichgivesthesoulitsbent,triesit,andturnsitforthacupfortheMaster’slips,sufficientlyimpressed。”SotakeanduseThywork!
