Bythe”spiritual”Iwouldbeunderstoodtomeanthewholedomainoftheemotional，thesusceptibleorimpressible，thesympathetic，theintuitive；inshort，thatmysterioussomethingintheconstitutionofmanbyandthroughwhichheholdsrelationshipwiththeessentialspiritofthings，asopposedtothephenomenalofwhichthesensestakecognizance。
