  Vicwenttotheouterdoor,feelingthenecessityforasomewhatcarefulconningofhistaletogiveit,ashesaidhimself,alittleartisticverisimilitude。Then,withhislesson——ashethought——welllearned,andprayingforaidofunknowngods,hewentbacktofindhispartner。
