  Theyoungwomanwouldnotlivewithhim;

  theson,herbrotherandhusband,foratimewentdistracted;

  andatlasttheyoungwomanwentawayforEngland,andhas

  neverbeenhearsofsince。’

  ItiseasytobelievethatIwasstrangelyaffectedwiththisstory,

  but’tisimpossibletodescribethenatureofmydisturbance。
