  Henriettesawthedanger,andputtingoutherhand,seizedhim,

  anddrawinghimrapidlytowardsher,madehimliedownbeside

  her。

  Noel,struckwithhergoodness,waspreparingtoofferher

  thesamemarksofhisgratitudehehadshownmeofhisrespect;

  butrepulsinghim,shesaidinalowvoice,“Wretch,thinknotit
