  Thefireoflovewasburning,yetsolowThatinthedarkwescarcecouldseeitsrays,Andinthelightofperfect—placiddaysNothingbutsmoulderingembersdullandslow。

  Vainly,forlove’sdelight,wesoughttothrowNewpleasuresonthepyretomakeitblaze:
