  Mymenshotablackrhinocerosinthisway,andIfeltgladtogetawayfromtheonlyplaceinwhichIeverhadanyshareinnight-hunting。

  Allwereeagertodistinguishthemselves,andsuccessdependedmainlyonthecouragewhichleadsthehuntsmantogoclosetotheanimal,andnotwastetheforceofhisshotontheairItwasnoticeablethattheaverageforthenativeswasunderoneperman,fortheGriquasoneperman,fortheBoerstwo,andfortheEnglishofficerstwentyeach。
