IthappenedoncethatLytinghadafeastinhishouseatSamstede,andhehadbiddenthitherHauskuldandthesonsofSigfus,andtheyallcame。There,too,wasGraniGunnar\'sson,andGunnarLambi\'sson,andLambiSigurd\'sson。
HauskuldNjal\'ssonandhismotherhadafarmatHolt,andhewasalwaysridingtohisfarmfromBergthorsknoll,andhispathlaybythehomesteadatSamstede。HauskuldhadasoncalledAmund;
