  Extremesmeet,andwhosoliketobetheotherpartyastheelderlygentlemanattheotherendofthetable,asfarfromhernowasthelengthoftheboardpermits?Imaybemistaken,butIthinkthisistobetheromanticepisodeoftheyearbeforeme。Onlyitseemssonaturalitisimprobable,foryouneverfindyourdroppedmoneyjustwhereyoulookforit,andsoitiswiththeseapriorimatches。

  ThatGreekline,whichIdonotrememberhavingheardmentionofasremarkable,hasnearlyeveryconsonantalandvowelsoundinthelanguage。TryitbytheGreekandbytheEnglishalphabet。itisacuriosity。TellmethatoldHomerdidnotrollhissightlesseyeballsaboutwithdelight,ashethunderedouttheseringingsyllables!Itseemshardtothinkofhisgoingroundlikeahand-
