Wildshoutswereheardnow，andagreatcommotionaroseamongtheTyrolese。ThebolddeedoftheBavarianhadsurprisedandconfusedthem;theyhadforgotthesoldiersforamoment，andrivetedtheirwholeattentiononthecaptain。
Hewasuninjured，for，injumpingdown，hehadfallenonthebacksoftwoTyrolese，draggedthemdownwithhim，andthusbrokentheviolenceofthefall。
Beforethetwomen，stunnedbytheirsuddenfall，hadrecoveredfromtheirsurprise，Ulrichwasagainonhisfeet，and，drawinghissword，clearedhimselfapassagethroughthequickly—recedingcrowd。
\"Cometome，mysoldiers，cometome！\"heshouted，inapantingvoice。
