  His,however,wasabigone,muchthebiggestofthesix,andhehadaglorioustimelandingit。Hefishedasheappearedtodoeverythingelse,withintenseearnestnessanddetermination。Heevidentlyconsideredthestruggleasortofpersonaldisagreementbetweenthefishandhimselfand,asusual,intendedtohavehisway。Hesucceededafterawhile,andannouncedthathehadnotenjoyedanythingasmuchsincearrivinginDenboro。

  Hisdaughteralsoseemedtobeenjoyingherself。Shewasquiteasgoodafisherasherfather,and,whenthesportwasover,andwereeledinourlinespreparatorytostartingforhome,ralliedhimnotalittleathavingbeentheleastsuccessfuloftheparty。Hetookherteasinggood—naturedly。
