  ItdidseemtoCaptainShad,however,thathispartnerhadsomethingonhismind。Heseemedoftentobethinkingdeeplyandattimestobetroubledanddisturbed。TheCaptainhadneverasked,neverattemptedbyquestioningtolearnwhatthecauseofthetrouble——
