  Sheworeasimplewhitedressandherhathunguponhershouldersbyitsribbons。Therosylightedgedthewhitegownwithpinkandthefringesofherdarkhairwerecrinklylinesoffire。Herfacewasgrave,almostsad。

  JohnEllerystoodstill,withonefootupliftedforastep。Thegirllookedoutoverthewaterandhelookedather。Thenacrow,oneofseveralwhirlingabovethepines,spiedtheintruderandscreamedawarning。Theministerwasstartledandsteppedback。A
