  Itwasabrilliantlittlesupperparty,andMr。Sabincontributedatleasthissharetothegeneralentertainment。Beforetheydispersedhehadtobringouthistabletstomakenotesofhisengagements。Hestoodonthetopofthestepsabovethepalm-courttowishthemgood-bye,leaningonhisstick。Heleneturnedbackandwavedherhand。

  Felixlookedathimthoughtfully。
