  Thelightfromthearclampheldherinviewagainouthereonthewharfwhereshewasclearoftheshed;butsheknewtheywouldnotfireatherexceptasalastresort。Theycouldnotaffordtosoundanalarmthatwouldattractnoticetothespot-whentheyhad,orbelievedtheyhad,boththeAdventurerandtheWhiteMollwithintheirgraspnow。

  CameasavageandimpatientoathfromDanglar。

  “She’sgottocomeup,ain’tshe-ordrown!“herasped。“Maybeshe’sswumunderthewharf,ormaybeshe’sswumunderwaterfarenoughoutso’swecan’tseeherfromhere。Anyway,jumpintothatboatthere,andwe’llpaddlearoundtillwegether。“

  Theywereprobablysearchingaroundunderthewharf。Shecouldnothearwhattheysaid,fortheywerekeepingquietnow,talkinginwhispers-soasnottogiveherwarningoftheirwhereaboutsundoubtedly!
