　　Nexthearguesfrommetaphysics，asfollows：“TheCopernicantheoryoftheearth’smotionisagainstthenatureoftheearthitself，becausetheearthisnotonlycoldbutcontainsinitselftheprincipleofcold；butcoldisopposedtomotion，andevendestroysit——asisevidentinanimals，whichbecomemotionlesswhentheybecomecold。”

　　Finally，heclinchesallwithapieceoftheologicalreasoning，asfollows：“SinceitcancertainlybegatheredfromScripturethattheheavensmoveabovetheearth，andsinceacircularmotionrequiressomethingimmovablearoundwhichtomove，……theearthisatthecentreoftheuniverse。”[66]
