  TheworkmanshipofNatureisadmirablealsointheseal,forthoughaviviparousquadrupedithasnoearsbutonlypassagesforhearing。Thisisbecauseitslifeispassedinthewater;nowtheearisapartaddedtothepassagestopreservethemovementoftheairatadistance;thereforeanearisnousetoitbutwouldevenbringaboutthecontraryresultbyreceivingamassofwaterintoitself。
