fordadochoiweretheythatamongsttheGreekscarriedtorcheslightedintheprocessionsoftheirgods。Andinprocessoftimethedevoutbutignorantpeopledidmanytimeshonourtheirbishopswiththelikepompofwaxcandles，andtheimagesofourSaviourandthesaints，constantly，inthechurchitself。Andthuscameintheuseofwaxcandlesandwasalsoestablishedbysomeoftheancientcouncils。
