  sidecomesout——amarketcartortwo;meninsmock-frocksgoingtotheirwork,pipeinmouth,awhiffofwhichisnobadsmellthisbrightmorning。Thesungetsup,andthemistshineslikesilvergauze。Theypassthehoundsjoggingalongtoadistantmeet,attheheelsofthehuntsman’sback,whosefaceisaboutthecolourofthetailsofhisoldpink,asheexchangesgreetingswithcoachmanandguard。Nowtheypullupatalodge,andtakeonboardawell-muffled-upsportsman,withhisgun-caseandcarpet-bag,Anearlyup-coachmeetsthem,andthecoachmengatheruptheirhorses,andpassoneanotherwiththeaccustomedliftoftheelbow,eachteamdoingelevenmilesanhour,withamiletosparebehindifnecessary。Andherecomesbreakfast。
