TheFebruaryRevolutionbrokeout。TheLondonCentralCommitteefunctioninghithertoimmediatelytransferreditspowerstotheBrusselsleadingcircle。ButthisdecisioncameatatimewhenanactualstateofsiegealreadyexistedinBrussels，andtheGermansinparticularcouldnolongerassembleanywhere。WewereallofusjustonthepointofgoingtoParis，andsothenewCentralCommitteedecidedlikewisetodissolve，tohandoverallitspowerstoMarxandtoempowerhimimmediatelytoconstituteanewCentralCommitteeinParis。Hardlyhadthefivepersonswhoadoptedthisdecision（March3，1848）separated，beforepoliceforcedtheirwayintoMarx’shouse，arrestedhimandcompelledhimtoleaveforFrancethefollowingday，whichwasjustwherehewaswantingtogo。
