partyismerelyoneofunitingtheterritoriesithashithertodominatedintoanautonomousgroupofstatesandwithdrawingthemfromthesupremeauthorityoftheUnion。Nothingcouldbemorefalse:\"TheSouthneedsitsentireterritory。Itwillandmusthaveit。\"Withthisbattle—crythesecessionistsfelluponKentucky。Bytheir\"entireterritory\"theyunderstandinthefirstplacealltheso—calledborderstates—Delaware，Maryland，Virginia，NorthCarolina，Kentucky，Tennessee，MissouriandArkansas。
